Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc.
Fund for the Future Society

To preserve the spirit of social justice for future generations, Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. has formed the Fund for the Future Society. This Catholic Charities’ endowment will provide the underpinnings for continued, uninterrupted human services, supplying a comprehensive range of programs to meet the needs of the poor and disadvantaged and assisting individuals, through skills development, as they work toward self-sufficiency.

Catholic Charities of Los Angeles invites you to become a member of the Fund for the Future Society. This fund was established not only to secure the future of Catholic Charities by expanding our endowment, but also to provide guidance to you in creating your personal estate plan. Membership in the Fund for the Future Society will consist of major donors who give outright gifts, bequests, estate and trust gifts, or who become part of a life-income program.

Your participation in any of the following opportunities will help both your family and Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. in substantive ways:

  • Charitable Gift Annuities. Create a personal endowment with a charitable gift annuity and receive a guaranteed life-income with high payout rates based on your age at the inception of the gift annuity.
  • Charitable Life-income Gift. Set aside money or other assets which may generate a charitable income-tax deduction in lieu of capital gains tax assessments.
  • Gifts of Real Estate. Exempt all taxation on appreciated gifts of real estate from federal income-tax and capital gains tax.
  • Gifts of Cash or Other Property. Give unilateral, outright donations of cash, other tangible personal property or stock.
  • Gifts of Appreciated Securities. Avoid capital gains tax and reduce federal tax by donating stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other financial instruments which have increased in value since purchase date and have been held for no less than one year.
  • Wills and Bequests. Direct to Catholic Charities specific cash or property, or percentage contributions of your estate value, in your will or trust.
  • Gifts of Life Insurance. Name Catholic Charities as the beneficiary of an old life insurance policy and capitalize on possible tax benefits.
